We were in the lively street - one of the city's most important shopping areas. It also contains a large number of hotels and large movie theaters. But what makes this street so special it the architectural design of many of the large buildings. While walking through this crowded street make sure you look up once in a while and admire the often lavishly decorated grand 'edificios'.
Unfortunately it was raining very heavily we have to take shelter, so we ended up in El Corte Ingles shopping mall to have a cup of espresso in the cafeteria.El Corte Inglés is Spain’s biggest department store, selling everything from stationary and souvenirs to designer clothing and jewelry– it even has its own supermarket. Then, you go up to the upper levels and you have everything. Drugstore, clothes, cosmetics, perfumes, housewares... basically a giant department store with a normal, functioning grocery store in the lowest level.
The place elements and the contrast created is pleasant and beautiful to dine or have a drink.
The cafeteria floods with hungry people.
