If you been to Hongkong you must try their delicious street snack food gai daan tsai or egg waffle. Instantly recognizable, the gai dan jaai is a golden cake of miniature egg-shaped balls attached to each other like a piece of oversized bubble wrap.
You do not need to travel all the way to Hongkong to enjoy the delicious egg shaped balls. You can have it in Gurney Plaza, Penang.
I had such a fun time photographing these. Mainly, because I enjoyed to see them how they prepared it. People are lining up around the block to try these Hong Kong-style egg waffle.

They’re served hot and crisp and the little domes are eggy, chewy, and so so addictive. Their honeycomb shape makes them easy to share. I’d say it’s the must have street food that you want to get your hands on (beware its hot !!).All I can say is that it is "Crisp and flaky, soft and fluffy, delicious and addictive.
I’ve want to try the black sesame, chocolate and cheese soon. I can’t wait to grab those addictive street food again.
