Quite a number of bloggers mentioned “Penang Pitt Street Kuey Teow Th’ng’ (椰脚粿条汤) so we must try la. Finally we had tried the delicious Koay Teow Soup stall at Pitt Street Penang.
Its difficult to find a carpark however we managed to find one after driving around. During lunch time is very crowded so is better to avoid lunch crowd by coming before or after.

The smooth and fine flat rice noodles

Our Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has visited this shop before. It was well known for it home made fish ball and the delicious clear soup. A bowl of Koay Teow Thng that consist of fish ball, pork meat, vegetable and pork lark is not quite enough to fill up your tummy, so we had 2 bowls.

We think this is by far the best kuey teow th'ng we have ever had in Penang.

Muah Chee is my favourite snacks. Its hard to find nowadays, although it use to be a street food which can be found in Night Market or Gurney Drive. Normally it cost around RM 2.50 - RM 3.00. It is sticky and made of glutinous flour, cut in small pieces and coated with sugar and crushed roasted peanuts on top.

Its very interesting to capture how the Auntie prepare the muar chee

We are walking around with a box of delicious muar chee. Its so good you want to turn back to buy another box.

Affordable Housing Development Board (HDB) flats

World's tallest public housing, Pinnacle @ Duxton which stands at 50-storey high complete with sky gardens and observatory decks; well conserved and refurbished shophouses that exude pre-modern and vintage charm.

Lee Kuan Yew was born in Singapore on Sept. 16, 1923, to a father he grew distant from and a 16-year-old mother who adored him. The family had lived in the colony for more than half-a-century by the time of his birth, absorbing the culture of the indigenous Malays and the colonial British. Called Baba Chinese, they believed in English education, could afford servants, and enjoyed a higher social standing than the poor, often illiterate, recently arrived Chinese immigrants who worked around the city’s riverfront docks as lightermen, rickshaw pullers and stevedores. Though Lee’s father himself rose only to be the manager of an oil depot for Shell, the wider clan was established and well-off.

Singapore gained partial independence from the British in 1959, then became part of the Malaysian federation in 1963. Two years later it was kicked out of Malaysia because of racial tension — the city state was mainly ethnic Chinese, the peninsula dominated by Malays — and the antagonism of many senior politicians in Kuala Lumpur toward Lee, whom they considered headstrong and unpredictable. Lee was a month shy of his 42nd birthday, and no longer just Prime Minister of a federated state but an independent nation with an evaporating economy and not a single trained soldier of its own to defend it. By late 1965, Lee’s vision for Singapore was formed. It would build its own military, often stealthily, using Israeli military trainers described as “Mexicans” in order not to disturb the country’s Muslims. “They looked swarthy enough,” Lee wrote. And instead of trying to piggyback on the commodity-driven trade of its neighbors, Lee would seek investment from outside Southeast Asia, appealing directly to multinationals in the U.S. and Europe. “We had to create a new kind of economy,” he wrote, “try new methods and schemes never tried before anywhere else in the world because there was no other country like Singapore.”

Excerpts of Lee Kuan Yew: The Man And His Ideas, are now available in the form of an e-book in The Straits Times Star E-books app. It is published jointly by The Straits Times and Times Publishing as a public service to commemorate the life and work of Mr Lee, who died on Monday, March 23, at 91. It is free.

The original book was published by Times Editions, part of Times Publishing Group, and The Straits Times Press, part of Singapore Press Holdings. It was written by ST journalists Han Fook Kwang, Warren Fernandez and Sumiko Tan. Times Editions is now part of Marshall Cavendish, which belongs to Fraser & Neave.

Mr Lee signed 200 copies of the book which raised $2 million for charity.

The e-book contains the introduction and three chapters of the original book, and has 24 speeches and extracts of interviews.

El Corte Ingles , Gran Via - Madrid

We were in the lively street - one of the city's most important shopping areas. It also contains a large number of hotels and large movie theaters. But what makes this street so special it the architectural design of many of the large buildings. While walking through this crowded street make sure you look up once in a while and admire the often lavishly decorated grand 'edificios'.
Unfortunately it was raining very heavily we have to take shelter, so we ended up in El Corte Ingles shopping mall to have a cup of espresso in the cafeteria.

El Corte Inglés is Spain’s biggest department store, selling everything from stationary and souvenirs to designer clothing and jewelry– it even has its own supermarket. Then, you go up to the upper levels and you have everything.  Drugstore, clothes, cosmetics, perfumes, housewares... basically a giant department store with a normal, functioning grocery store in the lowest level.

The place elements and the contrast created is pleasant and beautiful to dine or have a drink.

The cafeteria floods with hungry people.

Juice Jam, its a hit game if you love to play game like Candy Crush, Poko Poko, Cookie Jam, its a puzzle game with fruity challenges. All you have to do is match and flip the fruit in order to trigger boosters. Its fun because your customers will always give you a happy or upset mood. Just watch your customers and you will understand. There will be tons of levels and new exciting level each time you complete.
Before you start the game remember to log in to "Facebook" . Ensure your facebook account is linked to your game. Every game you play you need "Lives" You can ask from your facebook friend or you need to pay 25 coins to refill 4 lives. You will be given 50 coins (free) You can buy the coins once is finish. For us we will wait for the "lives" free refill - every 30 minutes - free 1 live.

You will be give 3 Boosters - 3 each
  • Juice Geyser: Removes a column of fruit (Green)
  • Juice Wave: Removes a row of fruit (Red)
  • Juice Blast: Removes a single piece (Blue)
Take note of your Customers Order try to complete so it will quickly go to the next order. But if you failed your customers will be very upset.

Try and make super fruits (4-5 in a row, or combining fruits in different ways) to clear hard levels. Combining super cookies will also create a new effect that can sometimes clear almost an entire board!

  • Matching 4 pieces will create a Blaster piece. This piece, when activated, will shoot out a beam and instantly match all pieces in the row or column it’s in.
  • Matching pieces in a square formation will shoot out a rocket, which will randomly create a Blaster piece of that same type.
  • Matching 5 pieces will create the rainbow piece. Moving this piece onto any other regular piece type will instantly match all pieces of that type no matter their position on the board!
  • Matching 6 pieces will create the super magnet. When this magnet is dragged into any other piece, it will attract pieces of that type from all over the board. They will surround the magnet and then immediately be matched. When they’re moving towards the magnet, they will shift other pieces around!

Currently you will be a true Juice Jammer if you completed all the 140 levels. Sad news is that Juice Jam is available on iOS devices which include iPads. Hopefully in near future we can play in Facebook and Android devices.
