How To Align FoodieBlogRoll , Nuffnang Ads - Center, Left, Right

$
0
0

This whole afternoon I have been trying to find out how to display my foodieblogroll ads in the center of my blog post. But I failed to find the right answer. Never give up! Finally I found the right answer- thanks to Mast Blog Tips. Placing any ads should be done the right way, otherwise -CTR could be very low. What is CTR ? CTR means Click Through Rate , or in other words, how many clicks you get from each 200 visitors that visit your website.
Here are the code to fix the alignment of HTML/Java script.
  • Center Alignment  (<center>  </center>)
  • Left Alignment ( <left>   </left> )
  • Right Alignment (<right>   </right> )

For example my Foodieblogroll code:

<script type="text/javascript">
 var __fbr_pid  = "123769";
 var __fbr_bid  = "26767";
 var __fbr_sid  = "189538";
 var __fbr_size = "728x90";
 var __fbr_auid = "395817";
 var __fbr_zone = "";
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ads.foodieblogroll.com"></script>

Add the code on your foodieblogroll post:

<center><script type="text/javascript">
 var __fbr_pid  = "123769";
 var __fbr_bid  = "26767";
 var __fbr_sid  = "189538";
 var __fbr_size = "728x90";
 var __fbr_auid = "395817";
 var __fbr_zone = "";
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ads.foodieblogroll.com"></script></center>

Right now I am so happy with blog's layout.

Euro Fun Park @ Queensbay Mall

Queensbay Mall Penang Euro Fun Park was the fun fair which located at the one of the most popular shopping mall in Penang. It was the event of games with the colourful lighting, there are Ferris Wheel, Merry Go Round, Flying Chair, Flying Wheel, Twister & many more. I took some pictures in the afternoon, when the Fun Park only started at night. Enjoy some pictures from the Fun Park.

The first ferris wheel was designed by George W. Ferris, a bridge-builder from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ferris began his career in the railroad industry and then pursued an interest in bridge building. He understood the growing need for structural steel, Ferris founded G.W.G. Ferris & Co. in Pittsburgh, a firm that tested and inspected metals for railroads and bridge builders.

He built the Ferris Wheel for the 1893 World's Fair, which was held in Chicago to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus's landing in America. The Chicago Fair's organizers wanted something that would rival the Eiffel Tower. Gustave Eiffel had built the tower for the Paris World's Fair of 1889, which honored the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.

Finding a suitable design proved difficult: Architect Daniel H. Burnham, who was in charge of selecting the project for the Chicago World's Fair, complained at an engineer's banquet in 1891 about having found nothing that "met the expectations of the people". Among the audience was George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., owner of a firm that tested iron and steel. He had an inspiration and scribbled the design for the Ferris Wheel on a napkin during the dinner.

It was considered an engineering wonder: two 140-foot steel towers supported the wheel; they were connected by a 45-foot axle, the largest single piece of forged steel ever made up until that time. The wheel section had a diameter of 250 feet and a circumference of 825 feet. Two 1000-horsepower reversible engines powered the ride. Thirty-six wooden cars held up to sixty riders each. The ride cost fifty cents and made $726,805.50 during the World's Fair. The original Ferris Wheel was destroyed in 1906, but there are other ferris wheels at theme parks and carnivals everywhere.

Merry-go-round, is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for riders. The "seats" are traditionally in the form of rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on posts, many of which are moved up and down by gearwork to simulate galloping, to the accompaniment of looped circus music. This leads to one of the alternative names, the galloper. Other popular names are jumper, roundabout, horseabout and flying horses.

Carousels are commonly populated with horses, each horse weighing roughly 100 lbs (45 kg), but may include diverse varieties of mounts, like pigs, zebras, tigers, or mythological creatures such as dragons or unicorns. Sometimes, chairlike or benchlike seats are used as well, and occasionally mounts can be shaped like airplanes or cars.

Smash and bump into your friends on the Bumper Cars. Tons of excitement bumping your friends at one of Adventureland's favorite rides.

Looking for things to do with the kids? Euro Funfair is providing fun family days out in Penang beside (Queensbay Mall) . The Funfairs are perfect for families with small children because they offer a wide variety of suitable rides and amusements. However for the more discerning ride enthusiasts looking for an adrenaline rush they also provide some of the most thrilling extreme rides available on the market today.

There are two types of Hokkien mee: Hokkien hae mee and Hokkien char mee. Hokkien hae mee (Hokkien prawn noodles) is commonly served in Penang and Singapore while Hokkien char mee (Hokkien fried noodles) is commonly served in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. The dish commonly referred to as "Hokkien mee", depending on the locality, can mean either Hokkien hae mee or Hokkien char mee. For example, Hokkien mee in Kuala Lumpur refers to Hokkien char mee.

Delicious... Must try!!

RM4

Hokkien hae mee (Hokkien prawn noodles; 福建蝦麵) is served in Penang (with a variant served in Singapore and Muar in the southern state of Johor known as Hae mee). It is a dish of egg noodles and rice noodles in a fragrant stock, which is made from both fresh shrimp and dried prawns, as well as pork or chicken.

Traditionally, small cubes of fried pork fat are added, but this is now less common and have been substituted with chicken lard due to health concerns. It is garnished with prawns, fish cake, leafy greens, pork ribs, squid, crisp deep-fried shallots, spring onions and fresh lime. The dish is served with sliced red chili, light soy sauce and sambal.

At first glance, you might find Lor Mee unappetising. But once you have the first bite, you will love it especially the thick, dark sauce and textures that will melts in your mouth.
Lor mee is a Chinese-inspired noodle dish served in a thick starchy gravy and thick flat yellow noodles. The dish is eaten by Hokkiens in Singapore and Malaysia. The thick gravy is made of corn starch, spices and eggs.

Lor Mee is seldom on the list of things to eat for the tourist. The Lor is very tasty and the toppings are generous.

798 Art Zone Beijing Part 1

The area is totally different to all the other places in Beijing. It is an old factory district, where everything has been renovated and the factory rooms now play as galleries, studios, art rooms, restaurants, bars and cafes.
I didn't care too much for the art, although some was quite interesting, the area itself is really worth visiting, even for people who don't care about contemporary art. And the galleries are free! It reminded me of Soho in New York. I spent there three hours, but would've loved to stay longer.

Once time permitted I visited 798 Art Precinct and was amazed first it is Free to enter, has marvellous street art and many wonderful art galleries to visit .
I was lost many times as I wove my way around the labyrinth of streets and lanes that make up this site. The only drawback at the time there was a lot of reconstruction going you had to be careful where you stepped. But by now I am sure all of this work is complete.

Being an keen photographer I enjoyed the many statues that were outside many of the galleries and attach some of them for you to view. A bit puffed out after a while I found a great coffee shop well one of many but it was nice to sit outside in the shade of a tree and watch the world go by.

It was a afternoon well spent at 798 Space. If you are an artist, history buff, or looking for a change on where to eat, it is all there. You could spend all day or 2,3,4 if you want. The people are so nice and love to talk to you, most speak some english, that helped me.

Overview:
Located in Dashanzi, at the northeast part of Beijing next to the Airport Expressway, the Beijing 798 Art Zone has become a must visit for anyone who is interested in more than the usually visited spots such as the Forbidden City, the Summer Place and the Great Wall.

Farfalle and Mushroom Campbell's Soup

Farfalle is a type of pasta. Commonly known as "bow-tie pasta", the name is derived from the Italian word farfalla. The "e" at the end of the word is the Italian feminine plural ending, making the meaning of the word "butterflies"

Farfalle come in several sizes, but have a distinctive bow tie shape. Usually, the farfalla is formed from a rectangle or oval of pasta with two sides trimmed in a ruffled edge, and the center pinched together to make the unusual shape. They are sometimes ridged, known as farfalle rigate. Different varieties are available: plain, tomato, and spinach. These are often sold together in a mix, recalling the colors of the flag of Italy; the mix is most often prepared with chicken. Though usable with most sauces, farfalle are best suited to cream and tomato dishes.

Potatoes are always a versatile, healthy option for a colorful, filling meal. Not only are they beautiful, but they’re also loaded with fiber and nutrients, including beta-Carotene, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants. They can be grilled, baked sautéed, and prepared in a huge variety of dishes.

Hairstory Hair Cut @ Queensbay Penang

I got a perm in August 2013, hair cut in January 2014 before CNY. Now my hair out of shape and I was thinking of "bob" style cut so I went to Hairstory (Queensbay) next to HSBC Bank.

All photos taken with the iPhone 5

Short cropped hair: 4-6 weeks. Super short (pixie) hair can even need some love and attention at the 3 week mark! Think about it– if the hair is roughly 1″ all over, it can nearly double in length within one month. Really short hair can be low maintenance in the mornings but higher maintenance as far as the cut goes.
Short or long bob: 4-6 weeks. If you like to keep your hair between your chin and your shoulders, you know that when it hits your collar bone it will start to flip outward due to the natural curve it follows. If your neck is long, you get to go a little longer. If your neck is short, it’s going to hit your collar bone sooner. Keep that in mind.
Layers: 6-8 weeks. A lot of us get layers to remove the “triangle” that shows up when the haircut grows out. Once the layers are lowered and inch or two from where they started, they don’t move the same. The removed weight comes back and the triangle/bell shape returns. Time for a cut!
Textured shaggy layers or razor cuts: 4-8 weeks(depending on texture). Curly/wavy hair typically gets longer slower, so you can lean closer to the 6 or 8 week mark if the ends aren’t too split. For straighter hair, you’ll need to clean up a shaggy or razored hair cut every 4-6 weeks. Also keep in mind, razors aren’t as sharp as a good pair of scissors. That means you’ll probably get split ends sooner than you would with a scissor cut. But scissors can’t do what a razor can do texture-wise, so it’s a bit of a catch 22. If you like shaggy or rough texture, proper maintenance is key, otherwise it can get quite messy looking, and not in a good way.
Medium to long hair: 8-12 weeks. This is the most flexible hair length as far as cut maintenance goes. You can honestly just go in when it feels too heavy or when you notice a lot of split ends. My clients who have medium to long hair usually come in every 10-12 weeks because most of them are growing their hair out. However, in between cuts, my clients book appointments for a gloss or deep treatment to seal their ends down temporarily and hold them over. Due to the fact that this length is the most low maintenance, it can always use lots of love at home (ie: conditioning treatments)!
Long hair: 6-8 weeks. Please don’t go too long. Keep your hair in check. I’m just going to say it… excessively long hair can appear dry, brittle, unhealthy and shapeless. Hair grows 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch per month on average. Cutting a full inch off every month and a half will still leave your hair super long, but not too long. Please remember that really long hair needs extra love and attention on the ends as well. Try applying coconut or jojoba oil on the ends before bed, sleeping on it, then shampoo and condition as usual in the morning. Jojoba oil is the closest thing to our own natural oils and your ends need that!

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at HairStory and I love my newlook.

In Hairstory, there are 3 price points that are common for haircuts for men and women. The difference is between a $30, a $45 and .. for a haircut. In terms of how much to pay for a haircut, I’m not looking to spend big bucks. I am happy with $30. Most stylists will take the time to sit with you before each cut and discuss the look you are trying to achieve and will have the skill set to make recommendations on the various looks that will be best suited to your facial structure. For me I show them the picture of the hairstyle I wanted so they can cut according to my liking.

You can expect your hair to be washed before with a relaxing head massage and after your cut, as a bonus, professional hair care and styling products are used and sold in these salons.

I highly recommend this salon and will be back again.

Getting Around in Tokyo

$

Where is the world's most expensive taxi? Taxis in Tokyo can be expensive during the day. At night, traffic is lighter and when trains, subways and buses have shut down (after midnight), taxis may be the only transportation available.

Fares are ¥810 for the first two kilometers; ¥100 for each additional 288 meters or per 110 seconds when doing under 10km/h in the heavy traffic; between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., fares increase by 20 per cent or 10 per cent if the fare totals over 10,000 yen. If the taxi takes the expressway, the passenger pays the tolls.

Taxi doors are automated and are opened and closed by the driver, so you should not try and pull them open nor push them closed. No tips are expected. Since few drivers speak English, it is best to have your destination written in Japanese, along with a map, if available. A meter box displays the amount, and you can ask for a receipt upon arrival. Drivers are always white-gloved, invariably courteous and usually take the most direct route.

Almost all stations in the city have both the Kanji and the English written at each station on signs, and the stations are usually announced. Since some station destination maps are all in Japanese, deciding the amount of ticket to buy can be confusing.

Tokyo has one of the world's most convenient and efficient train and subway systems, and you can get from just about any point to any point this way. Tokyo sightseeing is easy when you use the Tokyo underground.

Juicing 101 - Leslie Myers

$

The old adage "an apple a day ..." seems to have progressed into a juice a day. If you want to forego pricey store bought versions, invest in a juicer and follow this juicing guide-it's easier than you think.
Why Juice?  by Leslie Myers
Drinking a raw, freshly squeezed spun or pressed juice is an excellent way to reap the phytonutrients from several pounds of produce. Unlike smoothies, where whole fruits and veggies are puréed, juices do not contain fiber, so your body hardly requires any energy to digest them, and the nutrients are rapidly absorbed into your system.
Where to start?

New to juicing ? Know this:
- Cucumbers pack a generous yield and alkali song punch without the potent taste of green. Start with less flavorful vegetables such as cucumber, celery and spinach. If you want to add more pungent vegetables such as kale, beets or even cabbage, you can counter their strong tastes with a little citrus fruit or apple- or mix in a couple of ounces of coconut water after juicing.
- Plan on 2 to 3 pounds of produce for one 16 ounce glass of juice. Cucumbers, celery, beets, fennel and carrots have higher water content than kale, cilantro or spinach. Make the base of the juice a high yield vegetable or apple , and then juice a few of the leafy greens and herbs to round the taste and nutritional profile.
- Freshly made juice is best, but if you can't drink it all at once or prefer to make a few at a time, transfer juice into an airtight container( mason or recycled glass jars work well) immediately after juicing.

Juices
Apples are a low-glycemic fruit that contains pectin which pulls impurities out of your system.
Beets cleanse the liver and are great sources of vitamin B6 ,calcium and iron as well as nitrate, which, when converted by the body to nitro oxide, dilates blood vessels to deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles.
Broccoli is said to have a cancer fighting compound.
Carrots contain a significant amount of vitamin A from beta-carotene.
Celery contains a bevy of electrolytes including sodium, potassium,calcium and magnesium. Celery is high in vitamin A plus B1, B2, and B6 as well as iron and phosphorus. Consuming celery helps balance the body's pH levels.
Cilantro has been shown to remove toxic metals such as mercury, lead and Luminum from the nervous system and body tissues.
Coconut meat, oil,milk and water have significant nutritional values. The water is high in electrolytes while the meat is full of medium chain triglycerides, which the body can use immediately for energy. Consuming coconuts can improve insulin production Nd it has been shown to kill bacteria and viruses.
Cranberry contains compounds that help prevent bacterial attachment to the stomach and urinary tract. This berry contains many anti cancer phytonutrients as well as Vitamin C and manganese.
Cucumber provides a high yield of juice and is mild in flavor. It is extremely alkalizing and provides multitude of B vitamins.
Garlic contains all icon, which provides its aroma and flavor and has antioxidant properties. Consuming garlic will increase blood flow and relax blood vessels.
Grapefruit loaded with vitamin C and low in sugar ,is as nutritious as it is tangy.
Ginger is said to mitigate inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. It can help alleviate both morning sickness and motion sickness and there have been studies showing it protects against Alzheimer's disease.
Jalapeños contain a day's worth of vit C as we as healthy doses of vitamins K and A in one medium sized pepper. They also have a high concentration of potassium. The capsaicin or heat in these chilies will also raise your metabolic rate.
Kale a dark leafy green is a nutritional powerhouse. It is full of vitamins C,K and A and is a tremendous source of iron and calcium. It also packs a whopping dose of lutein,which helps with eye function.
Lemons are extremely alkalizing to the body and contain a high dose of vitamin C, which protects the body against inflammation.
Onion is the richest dietary source of quercitin, which has anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties.
Orange is full of anti-inflammatory vitamins A and C.
Parsley contains vitamins A and C, potassium and folic acid.
Spinach is chock-full of vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, zinc, manganese and selenium. It also contains an abundance of vitamin K, which helps maintain a healthy nervous system, and lutein, which helps fight macular degeneration.
Turmeric The main component of turmeric is curcumin,which is one the most potent anti-inflammatory spices.

Penang Char Koay Teow @ Siam Road

Penang street foods - Char Kway Teow was rated No. 1 favourite Penang Chinese food by the locals ”char koay teow” or fried rice noodles with cockles, shrimps, waxed Chinese sausages, eggs, beansprouts & chives, seasoned with soy sauce, fish sauce, chilli paste and, pork lard. Lard does wonderful things to food, making, deep fried foods crispy and sautés profoundly flavorful.  But the most important component of good tasting lard is the source of the pork fat.

There are many variations and nice hawker stalls in Penang serving this awesome dish! But where can you get a plate of delicious Penang Fried Kway Teow at RM4-RM5? Yes, of course! This one’s my personal favourite because of the lard.

A charcoal fire takes 30-45 minutes to reach the proper cooking heat after you light it. You can tell when the coals are at proper cooking temperature because gray ash will form evenly over the briquettes. When you’re cooking over a charcoal fire, the natural woodsmoke flavors complement the food.

Originally a Teochew dish, Penang Char Koay Teow is made up of delectable strands of dark flat rice noodles glistening in sauce and oil which thoroughly captivates the hearts of Penangites both young and old. Enjoyed throughout the day, be it for lunch or supper.

Be prepared for a 40-minute wait here as there’s a crowd all day long (the stall’s closed in Sundays). It's well worth the wait since every plate is stir-fried to perfection with fresh ingredients.

Siam Road's Old man still cooked using the traditional method - The Uncle used charcoal to fried which is the traditional way to fried koay teow.

Many of these hawker stalls are not permanent fixtures within a certain kopitiam or kedai, but merely makeshift carts driven around by motorcycles they are attached to, as their “chefs on wheels” peddle their signature dishes from place to place. Father and son make a perfect team. Father is the Chef, his son is in charge of taking order and deliver the order to customers.
Normally we asked for takeaway - because there are no tables and chairs available , so you have to choose takeaway or dine in the coffee shop just opposite the Char Koay Teow stall, but normally the coffee shop is crowded , no place to sit.

A stroll down the roads and alleys in Penang will easily lead by the nose quite literally, to a hawker stall. The aroma can make one's mouth water and stomach growl just thinking about it.

Jaipur - Hawa Mahal - Amber Fort- Johari Bazaar - City Palace

Life is a journey. Now, let's ignite the torches in our dream and start our trip to  Jaipur's most famous landmark -- the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). It is also known as ‘Palace of Winds‘ because of its windows that allow the wind to flow in keeping it cool. There are 953 stone-carved screens or windows in the palace.

Why 953 stone carved windows?
It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, and designed by Lal Chand Usta in the form of the crown of Krishna, the Hindu god. It forms part of the City Palace and extends the Zenana or women's chambers, the chambers of the harem. Its original intention was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen. The lattice also helps to cool the air flowing through it.
It has five stories and is constructed of red and pink sandstone, highlighted with white quakeee quick lime. The side facing the street outside the palace complex has 953 small windows, and the breeze (hawa) which circulates through these windows gives the palace its name, and keeps it cool even in hot months.
The entrance opens onto a courtyard with a double-storied building on three sides, and one on the eastern wing with three more stories, which is just one room wide. There are no stairs to reach the upper floors, only ramps

Jaipur is 260 km from Delhi and 240 km from Agra andjaipur, pink city, capital city of state Rajasthan, hawa mahal ... forms the golden triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. It a bustling capital city and a business centre with all the trappings of a modern metropolis but yet flavoured strongly with an age-old charm that never fails to surprise a traveller. The old Jaipur painted in Pink can grip any visitor with admiration. Stunning backdrop of ancient forts: Nahargarh, Amer, Jaigarh and Moti Doongari are apt testimonials of the bygone era and a reminder of their lingering romance and chivalry.

To reach Amber Fort from anywhere in Jaipur you can hire a taxi or a car. This will your journey more convenient. The public bus to Amber starts at Ajmeri Gate and MI Road which will take around twenty minutes to reach to Amber Fort.

The most exciting part of the Amer fort visit is to go on the top of the hill by the elephant ride , which is accessible for the visitors. Riding an elephant uphill seems a cliche for tourists. But it really helps feeling the ambience and plunging deeper in India. The elephant ride offers a skyline view of the Pink city and a mesmerizing sight over Maotha Lake. We can choose a guide to assist, or an audio guide is even a good option which is available at the doorstep of the fort. To make your trip more spectacular and memorable one, elephant safari will be the best and it provides a royal feeling as well.

It will take around 15-20 minutes if we prefer to go on foot rather than hiring an elephant.If you hire a guide then it will be much better as he will show you around the fort, as there are many interesting places here which can be easily missed. They will give you a quick tour around the Fort, and you most likely wants to walk around for a while longer by yourself. The shade of the fort transforms seemingly as the sun sets. In the night as well the fort comes alive with adorable decorative lights. It is built over the remaining of traditional structure.

Johari Bazaar in Jaipur is spread around Hawa Mahal, the best place for the women of the royal family. Its famous for gold and silver jewelery, as well as costume jewelery and bangles.
Badi Chauper is the largest square in the old city. From here you can walk toward Purohit Ji Ka Katla (adjacent to the Hawa Mahal) and experience a labyrinth of lanes exploding with color and chaos.
Tiny shops are loaded with brocades, gold-embroidered skirts and glittering saris. Women dressed in fuchsia, tangerine and neon pink haggle over the prices with turbaned shopkeepers.
The market is full of locals and tourist hunting for bargains.
Johari Bazaar is partly closed on Sunday. LMB is at Johari Bazaar, +91 141 2565 844; Pandit Kulfi is at 110-111 Hawa Mahal Road

The next stop visit the magnificent City Palace. If you're feeling a bit tired from walking, you can hail a cycle rickshaw. The distance isn't far, so you shouldn't need to pay more than 10 rupees (bargain hard).The City Palace entrance fee for Indians is 75 rupees, plus another 75 rupees for still cameras. For foreigners, it's 300 rupees and includes a camera.The City Palace blends Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, with the most recently constructed parts of it dating back to the early 20th century. Behind the main courtyard you'll be able to see the towering seven floor Chandra Mahal, which is the Maharaja's residence and off limits to visitors. The flag of the royal family is hoisted when the Maharaja is in residence.In case you're hungry or thirsty, there's a lovely outdoor cafe at the City Palace.However, the most stunning part of the City Palace is without a doubt the Peacock Gate.

Jaipur is a unique and inspiring experience that is a must do for anyone visiting India.

We had 5 bowls of Endless pasta each. Left feeling so full we could barely walk. Service was great, the location is perfect, and the food was memorable.The ambience, food, and service were all excellent.

Pomodoro sauce is a type of Italian tomato sauce that is often served over cooked pasta. Like marinara sauce, pomodoro sauce is made from tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and fresh basil. Pomodoro sauce is somewhat thicker than the traditional marinara sauce, because it is simmered longer. Also, the tomatoes are less chunky in pomodoro sauce, and for a creamier sauce even crushed or pureed tomatoes can be substituted in whole or in part for the chopped tomatoes.
Alfredo sauce is made of butter, heavy cream, crushed garlic, alot of parmesan cheese and parsley.

We had Bleu Mineral Water RM4.90
Check out their Menu

My favourites - Spaghetti with Virgin Olive Oil & Fresh Garlic , Turkey Ham and Mushroom.  Value for money and satisfaction. Definately must go and eat! On my next visit I shall try their set lunch promotion.

De Tai Tong Dim Sum (大東酒樓) @ Cintra Street

De Tai Tong Cafe is a Cantonese-style restaurant along Cintra Street, in George Town, Penang. The restaurant is famous for Chinese-style dishes as well as noodle dishes such as Sar Hor Fun and Yee Foo Mee. In the evening, De Tai Tong also serves dim sum. Chinese tea is the default beverage served here. If you are planning to have your dinner here, you should come early in the evening, as most tables are usually taken by dinner time.

E-Fu Noodles is a classic dish

Flaky Chinese pastries filled with sweet lotus paste, a popular dim sum dish.

Tai Tong Dim Sum was one of my most favourite place to eat during dinner hours when we were around town. A short walk away from Prangin Mall/Komtar, this might be one of the very few places that serve dim sum not only for breakfast, but for dinner as well.

Dim sum is breakfast and dinner fare at De Tai Tong. It is one of the places in town with trolley service.

This is a traditional Chinese Yum Cha restaurant, nothing fancy, just concrete floor and plastic chairs. Come in, sit down, order your drink (we ordered a pot of Chinese tea), and wait. Eventually an old lady comes around pushing a trolley, and you just point to what you want. In case you are new to this, dim sums are chinese dumplings, and very yummy. Don’t worry, they will tell you what’s in them, usually pork, prawn, chicken vegetable etc. There is another old lady comes around with the desert trolley. We didn’t try these because we already pigged out on the dim sums.

There are plenty of options to choose from the steamed items. There are siew mai (pork dumpling), har gau (prawn dumpling), black beans pork rib, fish balls, seaweed dumpling, glutinous rice in lotus leaf, all served in metal trays. All the dumplings are plump with ingredients.

Loh Mai Kai - Fill up with glutinous rice and press down with a ladle. Steam for 30-40 minutes. Turn over the rice bowl onto a plate and serve Loh Mai Kai with chilli sauce. If you're looking for a dish that works as breakfast, lunch, dinner or even an afternoon snack, look no further than lo mai kai.The main ingredients of lo mai kai are those which make up its name - glutinous rice with chicken.

We were served by cheerful grannies, they just kept introducing us different types of food and praising how the good the food is! I love their friendliness and hospitality!
Dim sum is available from 6am till 12pm, and ala carte menu from 12pm till 3pm. Dinner starts from 6.30pm till 11pm. The outlet is open daily and closed on every alternate Mondays.
